N.Y. Comp. Codes R. & Regs. tit. 22, § 212.2 – Divisions of court; terms and structure.

(a) Divisions of the courts shall be designated as follows:
1. (1) Suffolk County District Court:
  1. (i) The District Courts of Suffolk County, first district — Towns of Babylon, Huntington, Smith Town, Islip and Brookhaven.
  2. (ii) The District Court of Suffolk County, second district — Town of Babylon.
  3. (iii) The District Court of Suffolk County, third district — Town of Huntington.
  4. (iv) The District Court of Suffolk County, fourth district — Town of Smithtown.
  5. (v) The District Court of Suffolk County, fifth district — Town of Islip.
  6. (vi) The District Court of Suffolk County, sixth district — Town of Brookhaven.
2. (2) Nassau County District Court:
  1. (i) The District Court of Nassau County, first district — Towns of Hempstead, North Hempstead and Oyster Bay, Cities of Long Beach and Glen Cove.
  2. (ii) The District Court of Nassau County, second district — Town of Hempstead and City of Long Beach.
  3. (iii) The District Court of Nassau County, third district — Town of North Hempstead.
  4. (iv) The District Court of Nassau County, fourth district — Town of Oyster Bay and City of Glen Cove.
(b) In each division there shall be held such terms as the Chief Administrator of the Courts shall designate. A term of court is a four-week session of court, and there shall be 13 terms of court in a year, unless otherwise provided in the annual schedule of terms established by the Chief Administrator, which shall also specify the dates of such terms.
