N.Y. Comp. Codes R. & Regs. tit. 20, § 2394.6 – Schedulingof the hearing.

(a) A hearing on theapplication shall be held within 10 business days after the receiptof the application, at an office of the Tax Appeals Bureau in Albanyor New York City, or at a convenient office of such bureau as determinedby the Director of the Tax Appeals Bureau.
(b) The Director ofthe Tax Appeals Bureau shall attempt to contact the applicant or hisduly authorized representative, by telephone, to facilitate the schedulingof the hearing within the time limitations set forth in this section.Written confirmation of the date, time and location of the hearingshall be mailed to the applicant and his representative.
(c) Any adjournmentof the hearing or extension of the time limitation set forth in subdivision(a) of this section shall only be made upon the written request ofthe applicant or his duly authorized representative.
