(a) Any domestic or foreign corporation may appoint a person or partnership to act as its nominee in the holding of shares or certificates on its behalf; provided, however, that no person may act as nominee for more than one corporation, either individually or as a member of any partnership, nor may a partnership act as nominee for more than one corporation.
