(a) The term automated teller machine means an electronic device, either on-line or off-line, that is not manned, except as provided in subdivision (b) of this section, and which permits one or more of the following:

1. (1) deposits;
2. (2) withdrawals;
3. (3) transfers of funds from one account to another;
4. (4) loan repayments;
5. (5) disbursements of funds pursuant to prearranged lines of credit; or
6. (6) balance inquiries.

(b) An electronic device may be manned by employees of the bank for the following purposes:

1. (1) to demonstrate equipment;
2. (2) to provide information;
3. (3) to repair and service the electronic equipment; or
4. (4) to act as security guards.
