This section describes the utilization threshold that the department has established for dental clinic services. The department will pay for up to three dental clinic service encounters in a benefit year. As used in this section, the term dental clinic services means dental care, services and supplies provided by a hospital out-patient department, free-standing diagnostic and treatment center, or hospital emergency room certified under article 28 of the Public Health Law.
