N.Y. Comp. Codes R. & Regs. tit. 18, § 483.2
An application for approval of the name of a business corporation which contains the word “blind” or “handicapped” shall be on forms provided by the department, shall be executed and submitted in accordance with department instructions, and shall contain such data and information as may be required to determine that the use of such words in the corporate name will not tend to mislead or confuse the public into believing that the corporation is organized for charitable or nonprofit purposes related to the blind or the handicapped.
