Hearing officer; duties and powers.
Department of Labor
(a) A hearing in any proceeding may be conducted by one or more board members or an employee of the board designated and delegated the authority by the board as a hearing officer. Any member or employee of the board designated and delegated the authority to conduct a hearing or investigation shall possess those powers and duties mentioned and described in section 65.42 of this Part, unless otherwise designated by the board.
(b) At any time, a hearing officer may be designated and delegated the authority by the board to take the place of a person or persons previously designated to conduct a hearing.
