N.Y. Comp. Codes R. & Regs. tit. 12, § 45-6.10 – Fueling.

(a) Go-karts shall be fueled only when the go-kart:
1. (1) is in a designated area away from the public;
2. (2) turned off; and
3. (3) empty of patrons.

All fuels used for go-karts shall be stored in accordance with nationally recognized standards. Go-karts with leaking fuel systems shall not be used. Any fuel spill during fueling shall be cleaned up immediately and prior to allowing the go-kart to operate again for the public.
