(2) Substantially damaged or worn mats shall not be used.
(b) Slide structure.
(2) The open sides of each stairway and landing providing access to a slide shall be protected by a railing at least 36 inches in height. Such railing shall be provided with a midrail.
(c) End of slide.
The area at the end of a slide into which a rider enters upon completing a ride shall be free of obstructions and shall be covered with materials that will provide a cushioned landing and a safe rate of deceleration.
(d) Starting zone.
At the start of the slide there shall be a zone at least 15 feet in length. The lower end of this zone shall be marked with a distinctive line. Only one rider shall be permitted in this zone at any time.
(e) Multiple sliding lanes.
On slide structures having multiple sliding lanes, the provisions of this subdivision shall apply to each lane individually.
(f) Personnel.
(1) Slide supervisor. The slide supervisor shall have the following duties:

(4) One person may be designated to perform multiple duties as required hereunder.
(g) Sign instructions and rules of conduct.
A large, well maintained sign, containing instructions and rules of conduct pertaining to the use of the slide, shall be displayed near the top of the slide structure.
