N.Y. Comp. Codes R. & Regs. tit. 11, § 26.4 – Types of examinations.

(a) The following types of examinations for licenses as independent adjusters to be taken and passed by each individual seeking to be a licensee or sublicensee pursuant to section 2108 of the Insurance Law are hereby prescribed:
1. (1) fire;
2. (2) inland marine;
3. (3) aviation;
4. (4) automobile;
5. (5) motor vehicle no-fault and workers' compensation health service charges;
6. (6) automobile damage or theft appraisals;
7. (7) casualty;
8. (8) fidelity and surety;
9. (9) accident and health; and
10. (10) general.
(b) The examinations shall include the principles and practices of the kinds of insurance enumerated in section 26.3 of this Part, outlining the authority granted under each type of independent adjuster's license, the adjustment of losses, as well as the pertinent sections of the Insurance Law as they relate to an independent adjuster.
(c) In order to qualify for a multi-peril crop adjuster's license, an applicant must have received accreditation from the Federal Crop Adjuster Proficiency Program, administered by National Crop Insurance Services, Inc.
