N.Y. Comp. Codes R. & Regs. tit. 10, § 415.40
(1) An extended care resident with traumatic brain injury (TBI)shall mean a person who is a least three months post-injury and who has been diagnosed as having a cognitive and/or physical condition that has resulted from traumatically acquired, non-degenerative, structural brain damage, or anoxia, and who in addition:
(2) TBI residents requiring extended care services may be congregated in one nursing unit or placed with residents in other nursing units, whichever best serves the resident's choice and needs.
(b) Resident care.
(5) Resident care staff and other staff members who have regular contact with the extended care resident with TBI shall receive orientation and training concerned with extended care residents with TBI.
(c) Resident assessment and care planning.
Facilities that admit an extended care resident with TBI shall comply with the following:
