1. (a) Family practice residency training program means a family practice residency program accredited by the Liaison Committee on Graduate Medical Education (LCGME) for three years of postgraduate medical education (PGY-1, PGY-2, PGY-3) in the specialty of family practice, or accredited by the American Osteopathic Association for two years of postgraduate training in family practice (PGY-2, PGY-3).
2. (b) Resident means a physician employed in a training position in a family practice residency training program.
3. (c) Commissioner means the State Commissioner of Health.
4. (d) Approved plan means a funding application submitted by the director of a family practice residency training program, providing the information specified in section 49.3 of this Part and approved by the Commissioner.
5. (e) Program means family practice residency training program.

As used in this Part, the following terms shall have the meanings indicated:
