N.Y. General Business Law § 199-P
Any person, firm, corporation, or association or agent or employee thereof who violates the provisions of this article shall be liable for a civil penalty of not more than one thousand dollars for each violation, which shall accrue to the state of New York and may be recovered in a civil action brought by the attorney general. For the purposes of this article, the noncompliant sale of each zero-emission school bus shall constitute a single violation.
