1. 1. Any podiatry hygienist in the employ and under the direction of a podiatric physician may:

   1. (a) Apply orthopedic padding.
   2. (b) Administer to patients by means of physiotherapeutic equipment.
   3. (c) Make up surgical packs.
   4. (d) Strap and cast for orthopedic appliances.
   5. (e) Take and develop X-rays.
   6. (f) Assist in foot surgery.
   7. (g) Administer oral medications.
2. 2. The Board may require that every podiatry hygienist have a general knowledge of sterile techniques, aseptic maintenance of surgery rooms, emergency treatments, podiatric nomenclature and podiatric surgical procedure.
