1. 1. The books, records and payroll of an employer who is self-insured, a member of an association of self-insured public or private employers or insured by a private carrier must be open to inspection by the Administrator or an auditor or agent of the Administrator to determine:

   1. (a) The accuracy of the payroll;
   2. (b) The number of persons employed; and
   3. (c) Any other information necessary for the administration of chapters 616A to 617, inclusive, of NRS.
2. 2. The books, records and payroll of an employer who is insured by a private carrier must be open to inspection by that private carrier or its auditor or agent in the manner prescribed in subsection 1.
