As used in this chapter, unless the context requires otherwise:

1. 1. “Board” means the State Board of Agriculture.
2. 2. “Department” means the State Department of Agriculture.
3. 3. “Director” means the Director of the Department.

4. 4. “Livestock” means:

   1. (a) All cattle or animals of the bovine species.
   2. (b) All horses, mules, burros and asses or animals of the equine species.
   3. (c) All swine or animals of the porcine species.
   4. (d) All goats or animals of the caprine species.
   5. (e) All poultry or domesticated fowl or birds.
   6. (f) All dogs, cats or other animals domesticated or under the restraint or control of humans.
