Nev. Rev. Stat. § 474.125 – Powers of district

1. A county fire protection district organized pursuant to NRS 474.010 to 474.450, inclusive, upon its formation:
1. (a) Is a political subdivision of this State; and
2. (b) Has perpetual existence unless dissolved as provided in this chapter.
2. Each such district may:
1. (a) Sue and be sued, and be a party to suits, actions and proceedings;
2. (b) Arbitrate claims; and
3. (c) Contract and be contracted with.
