NRS 425.381. Judicial officer: Appointment; qualifications [Effective July 1, 2026.]
- 1. A judicial officer must be appointed as set forth in this section and NRS 3.405.
2. The district judges of:
- (a) The Family Court of the Second Judicial District shall appoint the judicial officers for that District, and shall establish the qualifications and duties of those judicial officers; and
- (b) The Family Court of the Eighth Judicial District shall appoint the judicial officers for that District, and shall establish the qualifications and duties of those judicial officers.
- 3. The district judges of the remaining judicial districts shall appoint the judicial officers for those districts, and shall establish the qualifications and duties of those judicial officers.
- 4. A judicial officer serves at the pleasure of the district judges who appointed the judicial officer.
