If the complaint is filed in a court of this state:

1. 1. The local judicial officer, state judicial officer, officer, employee, board or commission member, State Legislator or other person for whom the official attorney is required to provide a defense pursuant to NRS 41.0339; and

2. 2. The state or any political subdivision named as a party defendant,

   each has 45 days after their respective dates of service to file an answer or other responsive pleading.
