1. 1. “Fire station project” means one or more of the following portions of a fire station or a fire substation:

   1. (a) Office space used for the administration of the fire station or fire substation.
   2. (b) Storage areas.
   3. (c) Kitchen facilities.
   4. (d) Dormitories and locker rooms.
   5. (e) Restroom facilities.
   6. (f) Training or exercise facilities.
   7. (g) Briefing or conference facilities.
   8. (h) Facilities and such appurtenances necessary for housing and maintaining vehicles and equipment used for fire fighting or to provide emergency medical services.
   9. (i) A facility or portion of a facility that is required in order to comply with standards for occupational safety and health.
   10. (j) Parking areas for employees and the public.
   11. (k) Landscaping.
   12. (l) Utilities.

2. 2. The term does not include:

   1. (a) A facility or portion of a facility that is used to replace services for the prevention or suppression of fire that were once provided elsewhere in the city or county.
   2. (b) Vehicles and equipment used for fire fighting or to provide emergency medical services.
   3. (c) A facility that is used for training firefighters from more than one fire station or fire substation.
