1. 1. Cities incorporated pursuant to this chapter:

   1. (a) Are municipal corporations.
   2. (b) Shall be known and designated by the name and style adopted.

2. 2. Under such name, cities may:

   1. (a) Sue and be sued.
   2. (b) Contract and be contracted with.
   3. (c) Acquire and hold real and personal property for corporate purposes.
   4. (d) Have a common seal and change the same at pleasure.
   5. (e) Have perpetual succession.
   6. (f) Exercise all the powers conferred in this chapter.
