1. 1. The Sunset Committee shall conduct public hearings for the purpose of obtaining comments on, and may require the Legislative Counsel Bureau to submit reports on, the need for the termination, modification, consolidation or continued operation of a board or commission.
2. 2. The Committee shall consider any report submitted to it by the Legislative Counsel Bureau.
3. 3. The Committee may exercise any of the investigative powers set forth in NRS 218E.105 to 218E.140, inclusive.
4. 4. A board or commission has the burden of proving that there is a public need for its continued existence.
