1. 1. A copy of one of the following must be placed in the record of the confirmatory adoption:

   1. (a) The birth certificate of the child listing the prospective adoptive parent as a parent of the child;
   2. (b) A court order establishing parentage of the child; or
   3. (c) Any other evidence that is deemed sufficient by the court to establish parentage of the child.
2. 2. A document or other evidence described in subsection 1 is confidential.
