1. 1. “Game-related digital content” means digital content that exists only in an electronic game or electronic-game platform. The term includes:

   1. (a) Game-play currency, such as a virtual wallet, even if denominated in United States currency; and

   2. (b) If for use or redemption only within the electronic game or electronic-game platform:

      1. (1) Points, sometimes referred to as gems, tokens, gold and similar names; and
      2. (2) Digital codes.

2. 2. The term does not include an item that the issuer:

   1. (a) Permits to be redeemed for use outside an electronic game or electronic-game platform for:

      1. (1) Money; or
      2. (2) Goods or services that have more than minimal value; or
   2. (b) Otherwise monetizes for use outside an electronic game or electronic-game platform.
