A cotton producer shall pay a special assessment levied by a local pink bollworm control committee, payable upon the cotton producer's receipt of an assessment statement. The committee's statement shall indicate:

1. A. the total number of acres treated within the pink bollworm control district;
2. B. the total treated acres under the control of the land user;
3. C. the total amount of money expended or estimated to be spent in the pink bollworm control district for the control program;
4. D. the total acres or yield per acre of lands under the control of the land user assessed; and
5. E. the amount assessed against the land user.

ANNOTATIONS

Effective dates. — Laws 2001, ch. 13 contained no effective date provision, but, pursuant to N.M. Const., art. IV, § 23, was effective June 15, 2001, 90 days after adjournment of the legislature.
