Compiler’s notes. — The effective date of the New Mexico Mining Act, was the effective date of Laws 1993, ch. 315, which was June 18, 1993.
County regulatory authority not preempted. — A county ordinance containing permit requirements for mines was not expressly or completely preempted by the New Mexico Mining Act or the adoption of regulations thereunder and, to the extent its ordinance did not conflict with the Act or the regulations, the county could require compliance therewith.
