In marking an excavation site and the location of underground facilities, both the excavator and the owner or operator shall use the following uniform color code:

1. A. blue for water;
2. B. green for sewer;
3. C. orange for communications or coaxial cable;
4. D. pink for survey;
5. E. purple for reclaimed water;
6. F. red for electric;
7. G. white for proposed excavation area; and
8. H. yellow for gas.
