The following terms wherever used or referred to in this act [5-3-1 to 5-3-8 NMSA 1978] shall have the following meanings unless a different meaning clearly appears from the context.

1. A. The term "municipality" shall mean any incorporated county, city, town or village in the state of New Mexico, having a population of at least five thousand.
2. B. The term "auditorium" shall mean a public auditorium or building of a similar nature used for general civic purposes.
3. C. The term "bonds" shall mean bonds, notes, temporary bonds, interim certificates, negotiable instruments or any other evidences of indebtedness of any nature whatsoever.
