In order to serve as a controlling person of an appraisal management company, a person shall:

1. A. certify to the board that the person has never had a certificate or a license issued by the board of this state, or the board of any other state, to act as an appraiser refused, denied, canceled or revoked;
2. B. be of good moral character, as determined by the board; and
3. C. submit to a background investigation, as determined by the board.

ANNOTATIONS

Effective dates. — Laws 2009, ch. 214 contained no effective date provision, but, pursuant to N.M. Const., art. IV, § 23, was effective June 19, 2009, 90 days after the adjournment of the legislature.
