N.M. Stat. Ann. § 32A-5-3.1
To the extent practicable, any provision of the Adoption Act applicable to a father-child relationship applies to a mother-child relationship or parent-child relationship, and any provision of the Adoption Act applicable to a mother-child relationship applies to a father-child relationship or parent-child relationship.

Effective dates. — Laws 2025, ch. 15 contained no effective date provision, but, pursuant to N.M. Const., art. IV, § 23, was effective June 20, 2025, 90 days after adjournment of the legislature.
