The "charter schools division" is created in the department. The division shall:

1. A. provide staff support to the commission;
2. B. provide technical support to all charter schools;
3. C. review and approve state-chartered charter school budget matters; and
4. D. make recommendations to the commission regarding the approval, denial, suspension or revocation of the charter of a state-chartered charter school.
