1. A. The members of a local school board shall serve without compensation.
2. B. No member of a local school board shall be employed in any capacity by a school district governed by that local school board during the term of office for which the member was elected or appointed.

ANNOTATIONS

Member of local school board cannot resign from such office and thereafter be appointed superintendent of schools or be otherwise employed by that school district during the term for which he or she was elected or appointed. 1974 Op. Att'y Gen. No. 74-17.
