N.M. Stat. Ann. § 17-4-31
The state game commission [state wildlife commission] is authorized to receive any moneys to which the state of New Mexico may become entitled under the aforesaid act of congress, such moneys, when received, to be deposited with the treasurer of the state of New Mexico to the credit of the state game protection fund, expended for the purpose designated and withdrawn as other moneys are withdrawn from the state game protection fund.
