1. A. An ignition interlock device shall record the following driving events:

   (1) all attempts to circumvent the device;

   (2) all attempts to tamper with the device;

   (3) all attempt to start the vehicle without first taking an initial breath test;

   (4) all attempts to continue driving the vehicle without taking a random retest;

   (5) the date, time, BAC of the driver, and success or failure of each attempt to start the vehicle;

   (6) the date, time, BAC of the driver, and success or failure of each random retest;

   (7) the total number of events recorded by the data recorder since the last service visit; and

   (8) the number of vehicle starts.

2. B. An ignition interlock device data recorder shall be incorporated into a module that cannot be detached and shall have a backup system to protect the security of all recorded data in the event the power supply to the device is interrupted or the sample head is disengaged or disconnected.
