Audit

  1. A. The commission may audit a public utility to examine whether the public utility’s triennial plan costs are prudent, reasonable, and properly assigned to programs in accordance with the Efficient Use of Energy Act, this rule, commission orders, and other applicable requirements and standards.
  2. B. The cost of an audit may be considered a recoverable program cost unless it results in a commission finding of the public utility’s malfeasance or misfeasance; in which case, audit costs may not be recoverable from the public utility’s customers.
