Any person desiring licensure by examination as an interior designer shall apply to the department on a form prescribed by the department, pay the required application fee, and furnish evidence to the department documenting that the applicant meets the requirement for licensure. The following are the requirements for licensure.

1. A. Completed application form, provided by the department. All areas of the form must be filled out and the application must be signed. Application must be accompanied by application fee.
2. B. Verification of passing the National Council for Interior Design Qualification (NCIDQ) examination or other nationally recognized examination approved by the department, must be submitted to the department.

3. C. Active certification from the National Council for Interior Design Qualification or another nationally recognized certification must be submitted to the department.
