EXPEDITED LICENSE DURATION AND RENEWAL

1. A. An expedited license shall be valid for the same length of time as a regular initial license issued by the board. Initial licenses, including expedited licenses, may be issued for a period greater than twelve months, but less than twenty-four moths, in order to align the license expiration date with the board’s renewal cycle.
2. B. A licensee holding an expedited license may apply for license renewal in the manner provided by the board’s rules, provided that, upon renewal, the licensee shall be required to pass the practical and written examination conducted by the board as a prerequisite to license renewal.
3. C. Upon renewal, the board shall issue a regular license to a licensee holding an expedited license issued pursuant to these rules.

4. D. Licensees who have not completed a course of study equivalent to the requirements for regular licensure may submit notarized letters of employment or employment records to prove licensed, current, verified work experience. Six full months of work experience shall be equivalent to 150 hours of training. Work experience less than six full months will not be considered toward training hours.
