The CFY must be completed within a maximum period of 36 consecutive months. Prior to or during the first 12 months of clinical fellow licensure, the clinical fellow must take and pass a nationally recognized examination in the clinical fellow’s field. Proof of passing this exam is required for renewing the CFY license.

1. A. The clinical fellowship license shall be renewed annually on a form supplied by the board office and shall expire annually one year after the date of initial licensure. The renewal must be postmarked no later than the expiration date.
2. B. A late penalty fee will be assessed if the license is not renewed by the expiration date.

3. C. If a licensee fails to renew within 60 days of expiration of the license, the licensee must reapply, meet all applicable requirements, meet CEU requirements and pay the application fee.
