10. J. Certified medication aide II procedures/skills check list for certification in New Mexico.

    1. (1) Administration of insulin by pen.
    2. (2) Demonstrate ability to maintain a clean/sterile field of care.
    3. (3) Demonstrate correct infection control practices throughout all procedures including the selection of correct antiseptic solutions.
    4. (4) Demonstrate appropriate site selection for administration of insulin.
    5. (5) Demonstrate correct administration of insulin.
    6. (6) Identify and respond appropriately to complications of insulin administration.
