B. A gaming machine shall be equipped with a random number generator to make the selection process. A selection process is considered random if all of the following specifications are met:

1. (1) the random number generator satisfies not less than a 99% confidence level using the standard chi-squared analysis;
2. (2) the random number generator does not produce a statistic with regard to producing patterns of occurrences; the random number generator is considered random if it meets the 99% confidence level with regard to the runs test or any similar pattern testing statistic;
3. (3) the random number generator produces numbers that are independently chosen without regard to any other symbol produced during that play; this test is the correlation test; the random number generator is considered random if it meets the 99% confidence level using standard correlation analysis;
4. (4) the random number generator produces numbers that are chosen without reference to the series of outcomes in the previous game; this test is the serial correlation test; the random number generator is considered random if it meets the 99% confidence level using standard serial correlation analysis;
5. (5) the random number generator and random selection process shall be impervious to influences from outside the gaming device, including, but not limited to, electromagnetic interference, electrostatic interference, and radio frequency interference; and

6. (6) a gaming machine shall use appropriate communication protocols to protect the random number generator and random selection process from influence by associated equipment that is conducting data communications with the gaming machine.
