1. A. The insurer must report an inpatient hospital bill to the WCA within 10 to 90 days of payment of the bill. Reports may be submitted by mail, fax, or electronic media in batches daily, weekly, or monthly from the insurer or insurer’s representative.

2. B. The paid inpatient services data shall be submitted in a format acceptable to the WCA. The economic research bureau shall distribute a specific set of instructions for the submission of required data.

   If the required paid inpatient services data is not received from payer as stated under Subsection A of this section, the economic research bureau may petition for a hearing before the WCA director and seek penalties pursuant to Section 52-1-61 NMSA 1978.
