The disposal of vehicles is governed by Chapter 13, Articles 1 and 6 NMSA 1978. The director or designee in conjunction with the SCFA will consider disposing of a state vehicle when:

1. A. the leased state vehicle reaches the end of its predetermined accounting and life cycle;
2. B. the estimated cost of repairs exceed the value of the leased state vehicle; or,
3. C. the leased state vehicle is unsafe, inoperable or obsolete.
