In accordance with RSA 482-B the board shall:
- (a) Protect the ground waters of the state;
- (b) Regulate the construction of water wells;
- (c) Regulate the installation of well pumps;
- (d) License water well contractors;
- (e) License well pump installers;
- (f) Keep records of wells;
- (g) Provide for penalties for violations;
- (h) Charge fees for licenses;
- (i) Promote cooperation among water well contractors, pump installers and governmental agencies;
- (j) Make available to the public information relative to ground water resources of the state; and
- (k) Adopt rules as necessary to implement the requirements of RSA 482-B.
