1. (a) The board shall recognize as maintenance of continuing competence a licensee's education in infection control.
2. (b) The board shall credit the licensee with one hour for each clock hour spent receiving infection control education, to a maximum of 2 hours per renewal cycle.

3. (c) Documentation of a licensee's receipt of infection control education shall be a photocopy of:

   1. (1) A medical education transcript issued by a hospital or other medical facility;
   2. (2) A photocopy or the original of an official ASHA continuing education registry transcript; or

   3. (3) A certificate showing:

      1. a. The name of the licensee;
      2. b. The title or subject matter of the education;
      3. c. The date of the education; and
      4. d. The signature of the educator or the sponsor of the education.
