1. (a) The board shall recognize as maintenance of continuing competence a licensee's academic instruction in speech-language pathology, provided that:

   1. (1) The instruction is not that required for initial licensure; and
   2. (2) The instruction is sponsored or given, and assigned credit by, a college or university.
2. (b) The board shall credit the licensee with the number of hours assigned by the college or university.
3. (c) Documentation of academic instruction shall be a photocopy of an official transcript issued by the college or university.
