Terms used in this chapter shall be defined as follows unless a different meaning is clearly apparent from the text:

1. (a) “Self-dialing telephone alarm” means “self-dialing telephone alarm” as defined in RSA 370-A:1, II. The term includes “alarm”;
2. (b) “Department” means the New Hampshire department of safety;
3. (c) “Person” means a natural person, a corporation, partnership, association, or other legal entity;
4. (d) “Receiving agency” means “governmental agency” as defined in RSA 370-A:1, I. The term does not include “911”; and
5. (e) “User” means a person who utilizes a self-dialing telephone alarm.
