- (a) If the state fire marshal determines that the application and plan meet the requirements of Saf-C 6903.03, the state fire marshal shall issue a permit that authorizes the person to use pyrotechnic effects, special effects, or flame effects in accordance with the plan submitted, including any special requirements for the performance established by the local fire official or the state fire marshal.
- (b) The permit shall be signed by the state fire marshal and be provided to the applicant.
- (c) Prior to the performance or event, the state fire marshal shall schedule a demonstration and inspection of the effect(s) with the local fire official and the operator.
