14-Day Temporary Safe Boater Examination

- (a) “Agent”, for the purposes of this section, means a dealer or renter of boats or employee thereof, who has passed the boating safety education course as provided in RSA 270-D:13, I(a) and Saf-C 6104.01(b)(1).
- (b) “Personal information” for purposes of this section, means information that identifies a person, including but not limited to name, address, and date of birth.
- (c) A 14-day temporary safe boater examination shall be administered, upon request, by the department or its agents.
(d) In order to meet the commissioner’s approval an agent shall:
- (1) Attend a 2 hour training session provided by the division;
- (2) Have a physical area to accommodate testing;
- (3) Execute an agreement with the division, including a provision that the agent shall not divulge personal information acquired as part of administering the test;
- (4) Accommodate testing during fixed hours; and
- (5) Make available an individual to assist and respond to any questions from the applicants.
(e) Pursuant to RSA 270-D:17, agents offering the 14-day temporary boater education certificate and exam may charge the following fees:
- (1) Up to $5.00 for the 14-day temporary certificate; and
- (2) Up to $15.00 for the 14-day temporary exam.
