- (a) Single shot or “finale” mortars up to 6 inches in diameter and used in racks shall be constructed of a minimum of 18 gauge galvanized metal with welded seams, SDR 21 high density polyethylene pipe or similar material, or of any approved non-fragmentary type material, as determined pursuant to Saf-C 5019.01(c). Wood plug base ends shall be permitted for single shot or finale mortars made from HDPE, fiberglass or similar materials.
- (b) Single shot or “finale” mortars in excess of 6 inches in diameter shall be constructed of non-fragmenting steel or aluminum only and shall be placed and utilized in accordance with Saf-C 5019.01.
