If 2 or more magazines are separated from each other by less than the distance specified in, table 1640.1, the table of distances in Saf-C 1640.01, then those magazines, as a group, shall be considered as one magazine. The total quantity of explosive materials stored in the group shall be treated as if stored in a single facility and shall comply with the minimum of distances specified in tables 1640.1, 1640.2 or 1640.3, the table of distances as cited in Saf-C 1640 from inhabited buildings, passenger railways, and public highways.
